Changing 3rd Party Icons on iPhone 4 Without Jailbreaking
How to theme 3rd party icons without jailbreaking your iPhone 4…
Install iPhone Explorer from here: http://www.macroplant.com/iphoneexplorer/
Plug your phone into your computer and launch the app.
I am going to use “AppName” for an example here…
Navigate to “(name of your phone)/Apps/AppName/AppName.app”
Rename the file in there from “icon@2x.png” to “icon@2x_Original.png”
Name the icon you want to replace the original with “icon@2x.png” (yes it is case sensitive)
Now simply drag this icon into the AppName.app folder and reboot your phone.
Presto change-o! And enjoy!
PS. A shout out goes to Shawn Wilkins (@hotcereal) for discovering this before me.
